Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Waiting for the fun to begin!
This past Wednesday night was John Michael's Easter egg hunt at our church. He had a great time playing all of the games, bouncing in the Carousel, and searching for Easter eggs in small swimming pools filled with shredded paper and eggs. Due to severe weather and lots of rain the egg hunt was moved indoors. What a great alternative shredded paper is for grass! It seemed we just kept finding eggs! John Michael loved the Easter bunny also. John Michael didn't waste any time cracking open his eggs and eating every single tootsie roll before we even got home. He definitely has the sweet tooth of the family!

Spring Happenings

What a busy Spring season it has been! Baseball is well underway for both boys, with Samuel on the Braves and John Michael on the Reds. Samuel is back at Kentuck for Spring ball and John Michael is playing Sandlot which is affiliated with our church.
Samuel helping coach his little brother.
All smiles on Opening Day! I think the bat might weigh more than he does! Some JM Attitude! I haven't been able to get pictures of Samuel in his Braves uniform yet. They are way too focused to take time for mom to make pictures. :) Maybe I'll get some before the season ends! Samuel's 4th grade class recently took a field trip to Montgomery. On the steps of the Capital with Govenor Bently - a native of Tuscaloosa4th Grade Class inside the Capital Building looking up at Dome Ceiling This was an awesome field trip and a beautiful Spring day! We also visited Old Alabama Town which I really enjoyed. This past Monday Samuel also had his piano recital where he played "The Storks" and did a fantastic job. I do have pictures but haven't been able to download yet due to bad weather.

Easter Cupcakes

We made these cupcakes last Easter and I thought they turned out so cute. The grass is edible and has a flavor of some kind, although I never figured out exactly what the flavor was. The boys loved them and I hope to make some more this weekend. So easy and so cute!
