Mercedes Marathon Kids Run February 13, 2010

For three years now Samuel has ran in the Mercedes Marathon 1 mile run in Birmingham.  It is always a fun thing and this year was no exception other than it was extremely cold.  Even so, Samuel finished with his best time yet of 9 min 39 seconds.  His goal was less than 10 so he was proud of himself.

After the run we headed to the McWane center.  This was our gift to the boys for Valentine's Day.  Rather than buying something that I am always tempted to throw in the garbage three days later, we decided to just spend the day together.  We spent a few hours at the McWane Center then headed to The Olive Garden for a late lunch/early dinner.  Then to Barnes & Noble & Dicks Sporting Goods which I think Samuel, Deaveion, and John Michael really enjoyed.  We finally rolled back into Tuscaloosa about 6:30 Saturday evening.  We were all tired but it was a great way to spend our Valentine's Day.
